Just before vacation I bought a plain inexpensive canvas bag since I thought I could use it for quick shopping and to carry baby stuff at the park. I couldn't just leave it blank and white could I? So I grabbed my paintings and some sequin ribbon and I made this within the one hour my baby girl was at sleep.
Λιγο πριν τις διακοπές αγόρασα μια φθηνή απλή τσάντα καμβά γιατι σκέφτηκα πως θα είναι βολική για γρήγορα ψώνια ή για να κουβαλάω πάνες και μωρομάντηλα στο πάρκο. Δεν μπορούσα όμως να την αφήσω σκέτη και λευκή μπορούσα? Έπρεπε να της δώσω λίγο στυλ! Έτσι με λίγη μπογιά και κορδέλα με παγιέτες την έφτιαξα όσο κοιμόταν το μωρο!
First I took some painters tape and use it to make chevron shapes like this.
Με λιγη χαρτοταινία έφτιαξα σχήματα V όπως στη φωτο
Then I took a thick piece of cardboard and slide it inside the bag so that the paint doesn't go to the back of the bag.
Έπειτα πήρα ένα χοντρό χαρτόνι και το πέρασα στο εσωτερικό της τσάντας για να μην περάσει η μπογιά στην πίσω πλευρά.
Painted between the lines with my favourite colors and let it dry!
Έβαψα ανάμεσα στις ταινίες με τα χρώματα που ήθελα και την άφησα να στεγνώσει.
When it was completely dry I carefully removed the tape and glued the sequins ribbon. (if you think sequins are too much -I don't, I love the sparkle- you can skip this)
Μόλις στέγνωσε τελειώς αφαίρεσα την ταινία προσεκτικά και κόλλησα τις παγιέτες. (αν θεωρείται τις παγιέτες υπερβολικές μην τις βάλετε, εγώ λίγη λάμψη την ήθελα!)
Now there's a bag I'll be happy to carry with me at the park!
