The idea for this project came to me when I came across a really cute jean jacket at the flea market and since it was only 2 euros (can you believe it? And it's not second-hand!) I bought it! I hear that jean jackets are back on trend this spring which is so cool! I haven't had a jean jacket for years now and it brings back memories! Back then, my jean jacket was filled with pinback buttons of heavy metal groups! These days I thought a safety pin brooch would look better!

Η ιδέα για αυτή την καρφίτσα μου ήρθε όταν βρήκα στη λαϊκή αγορά ένα τζην τζάκετ μόλις με 2 ευρώ (!) και ενστικτωδώς το αγόρασα! Αργότερα είδα ότι τα τζην τζακετ είναι φέτος πολυ στη μόδα (αν και νομίζω ότι δεν έφυγαν και ποτέ?). Προσωπικά είχα πολλά χρόνια να φορέσω, από την εφηβεία μου νομίζω! Τότε διακοσμούσα τα τζην μπουφαν μου με κονκάρδες heavy metal group, τώρα πια σκέφτηκα πως μια χειροποίητη καρφίτσα θα έδειχνε καλύτερη!

I wanted to give it a boho vibe (which you know I love) so I used suede cord and made fringes like this :

Ήθελα η καρφίτσα μου να είναι σε στυλ boho (που αγαπώ πολυ), έτσι χρησιμοποίησα σουεντ κορδόνι και έκανα κόμπους για να σχηματίσω κρόσσια.
 

Next slide some beads on the headpin and secure with a loop. Attach it to the safety pin.

Σε μια γράνα πέρασα χαντρούλες και την ασφάλισα με μια θηλειά. Έπειτα την κρέμασα στην παραμάνα.



Do the same for the other beads and attach them wherever you like on the safety pin.

Έκανα το ίδιο και με μερικές ακόμα χαντρούλες...

 

 Finally I decided to add some chain too...

Τέλος αποφάσισα να βάλω και ένα μικρό κομμάτι αλυσίδας...


I really like my brooch but that's not the only thing I did with my jean jacket! 

Αυτό δεν ήταν το μόνο που έκανα για το τζακετ μου όμως!
