Ι just love it when I make something beautiful out of leftover beads. This project was the perfect opportunity to do so. Plus it has that boho vibe you know I love and it's perfect for summertime. Here is the full tutorial on how to make your own boho chic statement necklace made with leftover beads and recycled materials!
Here's what I've used : (you can use any kind of beads you have in various sizes and colours and create your own unique statement necklace)
First determine how many pieces you want hanging. I decided to make 6, you can make 8 for a bolder piece. Generally, I think an even number is better for a nice balance. Next gather your beads and decide on the patterns. Sometimes I sketch to help me in patterns. I also took pictures of each combination before deciding (it took me two days trying to decide). Finally these were my pieces :
Start threading the metallic beads as your "base" beads and the headpins in between. Use jumprings to hang the headpins.
When you are done, attach the other side of the wire to another piece of chain using a crimp bead. Finally attach the clasp.
That's it! My new summer-favourite boho chic mixed media necklace is ready to wear!
