Grecian chic evil eye and tassel statement earrings DIY

I don't wear earrings much but I'm so excited for these ones! This project has been one of my favourite ones especially since it's totally inspired by the Greek summer! Let me show you how I made a pair of Grecian chic evil eye and tassel earrings! A unique and truly eye-catching pair of earrings!

Δεν πολυ-φοράω σκουλαρίκια το ομολογώ! Τα συγκεκριμένα όμως με ενθουσίασαν! Μου θυμίζουν τόσο πολύ Ελληνικό καλοκαίρι! Είναι ενα ζευγάρι σκουλαρίκια που δεν περνάει απαρατήρητο με τα ματάκια του και τις φουντίτσες του! Πάμε να δούμε πως έφτιαξα αυτά τα καλοκαιρινά σκουλαρίκια?

Here's what I used :
-2 evil eye connector charms
-2 tassels
-2 eyepins
-dainty gold chain
-small white beads
-metallic gold beads
-earring hooks
-4 jumprings

Δείτε στη φωτο τα υλικά (χρησιμοποίησα και 4 κρικάκια που δεν φαίνονται καθαρά στη φωτο)

Slide the beads and the evil eye charm (using a jumpring) on the eyepin like this :

Στην αρχή πέρασα τις χάντρες και το ματάκι σε μια γράνα και την ασφάλισα έτσι:

Use another jumpring to connect the tassel to the evil eye.

Έπειτα με ενα κρικάκι κρέμασα τη φουντίτσα.

With a piece of the chain and the eyepin create a triangle like this

Με ένα κομμάτι αλυσίδα που ένωσα με τη γράνα δημιούργησα ένα τρίγωνο

Attach the earring hook like this.

Το γαντζάκι κρεμάστηκε στην "κορυφή" του τριγώνου...

Repeat for the other earring and your evil eye and tassel summer earrings are ready to wear! Wouldn't these look amazing with a high ponytail and a maxi dress? (And me strolling down the streets of a Greek island?)

Έφτιαξα και το δεύτερο και έτοιμα! Με φαντάζομαι ήδη να τα συνδυάζω με ψηλή αλογοουρά και μαξι καλοκαιρινό φόρεμα! (Θα θελα να υπήρχε και ένα Κυκλαδίτικο νησί στην εικόνα αλλά δεν το βλέπω πάλι φέτος!)

DIY Tassel wrap bracelet

βραχιόλι με φούντα 4:52 μ.μ.

I just love my new tassel wrap bracelet! I've already enjoyed wearing it many times, it's so easy to wear and matches every outfit!
It's pretty easy to do too and it can be a great recycling project, if instead of flat leather you use an old belt!
So here's how you can make a tassel leather wrap bracelet step-by-step!

Αγαπώ το νέο μου wrap βραχιόλι με την γλυκιά φουντίτσα του! Το φόρεσα ήδη αρκετες φορές, μιας και πάει με όλα! Είναι πολυ εύκολο να φτιάξεις κι εσύ το δικό σου δερμάτινο wrap βραχιόλι με φουντίτσα, απλά διάβασε τις οδηγίες μου!
Tip : Αν δεν έχεις επίπεδο δερματάκι μπορείς να χρησιμοποιήσεις ένα κομμάτι από μια παλιά ζώνη!

Here's what I've used :

Να τα υλικά που χρησιμοποίησα :

First let's see how you can make the tassel. There are many easy and inexpensive ways to make a tassel. I wanted a unique tassel and that suede cord was ideal! First wrap some cord to your fingers (use two fingers or three for a longer tassel)

Πρώτα θα φτιάξεις τη φουντίτσα. Υπάρχουν πολλοί τρόποι να φτιάξεις μια φουντίτσα. Ήθελα μια μοναδική φουντίτσα έτσι χρησιμοποίησα σουετ κορδόνι. Πρώτα τύλιξε το κορδόνι στα δαχτυλά σου όσες φορές θέλεις. Χρησιμοποίησε 2 ή 3 δάχτυλα αναλόγως του μήκος που θέλεις να έχει η φούντιτσα σου.

Now take a jumpring and slide it through the top of the bunch. (picture is awful, I'm sorry!)

Τώρα άνοιξε ενα κρικάκι και πέρασε μέσα όλα τα κομμάτια του κορδονιού, όπως βλέπεις σε αυτη την (λιγο κουνημένη) φωτο!

Cut a smaller piece of cord and wrap it around your banch a couple times and then tie it somewhere in the back. (you can add a dab of glue if you like to keep the knot from being too visible). Finally cut off the edges and your tassel is done!

Κόψε ενα μικρότερο κομμάτι σουετ κορδονιού και δέσε με αυτό το σύνολο των υπόλοιπων κορδονιών όπως στη φωτο. Δέστο σε κάποιο σημείο από πίσω και αν θες βάλε λίγη κόλλα για να μην φαίνεται το δέσιμο. Τέλος, κόψε τις ακρες και τη φουντίτσα σου ειναι έτοιμη!

Let's see how you can make the wrap bracelet which is even easier than the tassel! Take the flat leather and wrap it around your wrist twice and cut. Take the endings and with your pliers press them on the leather firmly to secure. Repeat for the other side of the bracelet.
Note : Make sure that the endings fit your cord, there are many sizes available to choose!

Πάμε να δούμε πως θα φτιάξεις το wrap βραχιόλι? Είναι ακόμα πιο εύκολο και από τη φουντίτσα! Πάρε το πλακε δερματάκι και τυλιξε το δυο φορές γύρω από τον καρπό σου και κόψε. Πάρε τους ακροδέκτες που βλέπεις στη φωτο και με την πένσα σου πάτησε τους πάνω στο δερματάκι ώστε να ασφαλίσουν καλά. Κάνε το ίδιο και στην άλλη πλευρά του βραχιολιού.
Σημείωση : όταν διαλέξεις ακροδέκτες πρόσεξε το μέγεθος να ταιριάζει με το μέγεθος του δέρματος. Υπάρχουν πολλά μεγέθη στην αγορά!

Take a jumpring and with the help of your pliers open it.

Τώρα πάρε ενα κρικάκι και με τις πένσες σου άνοιξε το.

Use it to attach the clasp in one side of the bracelet.

Χρησιμοποίησε το για να ενώσεις το κούμπωμα με το βραχιόλι στη μια πλευρά.

Finally, use another one to attach the tassel on the other side of the bracelet.

Τέλος, με ενα κρικάκι ακόμα κρέμασε τη φουντίτσα στην άλλη πλευρα του βραχιολιού.

Cord and rhinestone statement necklace DIY

I'm super excited for my new project! I can't wait to show you my new fab necklace! For this project people at Beadmixer were kind enough to offer me the supplies.

Είμαι πολυ ενθουσιασμένη με το καινούριο μου κολιέ! Ανυπομονώ να σας το δείξω! Τα υλικά για αυτη την κατασκευή είναι από το κατάστημα Beadmixer και είναι απλά καταπληκτικά!

This was my first attempt with rhinestones and I really liked how it turned out!

Materials :
-imitation leather metallic rose gold cord appr. half a meter but it depends on the length you want your necklace to have.
-3 settings with loop for pear rhinestone 25x18mm
-3 pear rhinestones in salmon pink color 25x18mm
-4 settings with loop for pear rhinestone 18x13mm
-4 pear rhinestones in light pink 18x13mm
-rose gold chain
- 6 filligree leaf pendants 14x23mm
-2 bronze endcaps for 6mm cord
-1 set of hook clasps
- jumprings
-gold metallic thin cord (not pictured)

Αυτή ήταν η πρώτη φορά που χρησιμοποίησα κρεμαστά κρύσταλλα και το αποτέλεσμα δεν με απογοήτευσε καθόλου!

First I started by placing the rhinestones on their settings. It's actually easier than I thought, you just have to push their prongues gently with your pliers to secure the rhinestone.

Αρχικά έπρεπε να βάλω τα κρύσταλλά μου στις βάσεις τους. Δεν ήταν όσο δύσκολο νόμιζα, απλά χρησιμοποιώντας την πένσα μου πίεσα τις ακρούλες τους και ασφάλισα το κρύσταλλο.

Then I cut the cord and the chain to even pieces. Using 2 jumprings I attached the chain to the cord. The jumprings are just to help the chain stay put while I braid it, I took them off at the end.

Έπειτα έκοψα ίσα κομμάτια από το κορδόνι μου και από την αλυσίδα. Χρησιμοποιώντας 2 κρικάκια ένωσα την αλυσίδα με το κορδόνι. Τα κρικάκια είναι βοηθητικά, στο τέλος τα έβγαλα.

I left a piece of the chain in the middle and cut the rest. Then I took the gold cord, secure it with a loop and slide it through chain and cord so that they are tied together.

Άφησα αλυσίδα μόνο στο κέντρο του κορδονιού μου και έκοψα την υπόλοιπη. Έπειτα πήρα ένα λεπτότερο κορδόνι και έκανα με αυτό έναν κόμπο ενώνοντας την αλυσίδα με το κορδόνι.

I continued this until the end and did a loop there to secure it too. I also used a dab of glue on both of the loops and tacked them at the back so they were not visible.

Συνέχισα να πλέκω με το κορδόνι μου την αλυσίδα με τη δερματίνη και στο τέλος έκανα έναν διπλό κόμπο ακόμα. Έβαλα λίγη κόλλα στους κόμπους μου και τους έκρυψα έτσι στην πίσω πλευρά του κολιέ.

Now it was time to start attaching my charms and rhinestones. To figure out my design I started by placing a big rhinestone right in the middle.

Επειτα ήταν η ώρα να κρεμάσω τα κρύσταλλα και τα φυλλα. Για να ξεκινήσω έβαλα ένα μεγάλο κρύσταλλο στη μέση.

Then I placed some more rhinestones like this :

Έπειτα συνέχισα με τα υπόλοιπα κρύσταλλα έτσι :

Finally it was time for my leaves! I really liked the way these leaves compliment the rhinestones.

Τέλος κρέμασα τα φύλλα ανάμεσα. Μου άρεσε πολύ ο τρόπος που "έδεσαν" τα φύλλα με τα κρύσταλλα.

For the clasp I used some beautiful hook clasps that I attached to the endcaps and glued to the cord.

Τα κουμπώματα μπήκαν πάνω στους ακροδέκτες που κόλλησα στο κορδόνι.

And that's it! My fabulous new necklace is ready! Do you like it? I'm in love! I've been proudly showing off my new necklace everywhere!

Έτοιμο! Πως σας φαίνεται? Εγώ το έχω αγαπήσει πολύ και δεν χάνω ευκαιρία να το επιδεικνύω!
